6122. SPACE REPURPOSED | PART 1

Creating livable, breathable and easy to maintain space is our passion. The heavily shaded front yard is the perfect example of an easy to maintain space.

 COMPLETED SUMMER 2017

PROJECT ANALYSIS

Working with the 12x20 ft space, we aimed to compliment the existing red dragon japanese maple and dwarf alberta spruce that was planted three years prior.

Taking in consideration the extreme shade due to the tree on the curb, we opted to use reclaimed brick to provide a visually appealing design with pockets of hostas, poppies, lilly of the vallies, lamb ears, salvia and much more.

The brick layout was inspired by Detroit's notoriously recognized spiral spoke design. The completed project included the help of six NW Goldberg youth.

PROJECT COST

The total project cost was $1,360.00
